SNC CEO Charles Fagerstrom shared, “We are honored and proud to be recognized by Alaska Business in the Top 49ers and advancing to the top 25 companies in Alaska. This demonstrates strength in our leadership and exceptional staff. Through this leadership and focus on our Corporate Strategy, we have and will continue to build our family of business towards our mission: ‘To benefit Shareholders, protect our land and its resources, and support our culture by maximizing the profitability of our corporation while upholding our Inupiaq values’. Achieving #25 on the Top 49ers shows our team’s dedication to serving our customers with a focus on quality and value.”
The Top 49ers represent Alaskan-owned and Alaska-operated companies ranked by their 2019 gross revenues. Annually Alaska Business Monthly surveys companies for ranking in the Top 49ers, which are at least 51 percent Alaskan-owned. According to Alaska Business Monthly, “One factor that contributes to successful business operations is the ability to adapt to new situations; rare is the organization that flourishes without changing at all. This year, as we are all acutely aware by now, will go down in history for many, many things including the wide range of methods implemented by businesses as they adapted to the new landscape presented to them by COVID-19.”
SNC Board Chair Barb Amarok expressed, “This recognition reflects our team’s hard work and commitment to not only implementing significant cost savings and focusing on facing challenges, but also to maximizing profitability in the most effective manner.”
