We are thrilled to welcome to the SNC team, Julia Sinnok and Kylie Evans!

“I am Julia Sinnok. I am from Nome, Alaska. My parents are Shelby and Scotty Sinnok. My dad is from Shishmaref and my mom is from Nome. I have worked as a Summercise Assistant for two summers. I will be attending the University of Hawaii, Hilo in the fall. I will be pursuing my bachelor’s degree in business administration in marketing. My hobbies are hiking, playing volleyball, reading, and taking walks. What I like about Sitnasuak is everyone is super welcoming, helpful, and nice. It made my feel more relaxed and excited to work here!”
Kylie is joining our Anchorage office as our Administrative Assistant/Receptionist. Her welcoming smile and strong work ethic have not gone unnoticed, and she is already making a significant difference.
Kylie Evans, who was born and raised in Nome and now resides in Anchorage, is the daughter of Lucille Carter and David Evans.
Kylie began her professional journey as an intern with the Bering Straits Native Corporation, where she first worked in Business Development with the Proposals team and later completed a second internship in Human Resources. Afterward, she transitioned into a full-time role as a Human Resources Assistant.
Following that, she joined the Shareholder Development department, assisting in administering the CARES Act program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her role involved connecting with shareholders and their descendants to ensure they received critical financial assistance. Although this position was temporary, Kylie describes it as the experience that ignited her passion for directly serving her community.
This passion led Kylie to continue with the Shareholder Development department in a full-time capacity, where she served as a Shareholder Training Specialist and later as the Shareholder Training Supervisor. In these roles, Kylie oversaw summer internships and leadership programs, coordinated training sessions, facilitated meetings, and had the privilege of supporting and mentoring local youth.Kylie recently earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and participating in subsistence activities. “I love being outdoors—whether it’s camping, hiking, or beachcombing back home in Nome. I have a deep passion for serving my people and feel a strong commitment to giving back to the communities that helped shape who I am.”She also stated, “What stands out to me most about Sitnasuak Native Corporation is the strong sense of community and the welcoming, positive atmosphere among the staff. It’s incredibly comforting and motivating to be part of a workplace where people genuinely care for and support one another.”
