As a Shareholder of Sitnasuak Native Corporation, you have the right to receive dividends/distributions from the Corporation and/or SNC Trust.
Your shares are yours and no one else can make changes to your shares unless you transfer/gift them to another person(s) who are able to receive them by law (family). You can bequeath your shares of Sitnasuak Native Corporation stock in a formal will or Sitnasuak Native Corporation Stock Will. This will ensure that your shares are inherited by the people you choose. Sitnasuak encourages every Shareholder to complete a stock will.
Your shares earn dividends (or SNC Trust distributions) which are distributed according to Sitnasuak’s profitability and the SNC Trust resources.
The funds of the SNC Trust come from contributions by Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) as well as from the earnings of the Trust itself. SNC’s funding of the SNC Trust is based on a review of SNC’s historical and projected financial performance.
The SNC Trust was approved by Shareholders at the 44th annual meeting on September 22, 2018. Distributions (both Heritage and Elder Benefits) provided by the SNC Trust are normally tax-free to the recipients.
