The Shareholders of Sitnasuak Native Corporation come from the village area known as Sitnasuak or Nome, Alaska. As a regional hub community for transportation and services, our Shareholders originate from Nome and a number of surrounding villages in the Bering Strait region of Northwest Alaska. Our Shareholders are indigenous peoples from the Iñupiaq, Yup’ik and St. Lawrence Island Yupik nations who have ancestral ties to this land for thousands of years.
Today, Sitnasuak’s Shareholders have grown from the initial enrollment of 2,054 in 1971 to more than 2,900 shareholders as a result of inheritance and gifting.
SNC is proudly headquartered in our hometown of Nome, Alaska, with an office located in Anchorage as well. Shareholders now live in Nome, Bering Strait Region Villages, across the State of Alaska, the United States and Internationally.
