Sitnasuak’s journey began many years ago.  Forty years ago February 9, 1972, Sitnasuak had its beginning as a legal organization charting a new course for its future as Sitnasuak Native Corporation, with 2,054 original shareholders and $12,378.198.00 from the Alaska Native Land Claims Settlement Act.  Presently we have 2,652 shareholders and shareholder equity of $56,121,619.00 (preliminary as of December 31, 2011).

Sitnasuak is developing the Shareholder Talent Bank to assist shareholders and the corporation in working together for the future success of our corporation by collecting shareholder skills and qualifications.

New Senior Management Team

Stability, experience and a commitment to team work are the hallmarks of Sitnasuak’s new senior management team.

With President Chuck Fagerstrom in Nome, and CEO David Hoffman in Anchorage, the team is rounded out by CFO Tom Delamater and Human Resources Director Richard Dyson. The team works under the direction of Board Chair Jason Evans. Evans presided over a one-day retreat with the new senior management team in late June to establish the foundation for strong teamwork. He also chairs a senior management team meeting each Monday morning.
