New Senior Management Team
Chuck Fagerstrom, President

Stability, experience and a commitment to team work are the hallmarks of Sitnasuak’s new senior management team.

With President Chuck Fagerstrom in Nome, and CEO David Hoffman in Anchorage, the team is rounded out by CFO Tom Delamater and Human Resources Director Richard Dyson. The team works under the direction of Board Chair Jason Evans. Evans presided over a one-day retreat with the new senior management team in late June to establish the foundation for strong teamwork. He also chairs a senior management team meeting each Monday morning.

Nursing Program Obtained in Nome
Nome's first UAA nursing cohort.  Sarah Weaver, Jackie Ivanoff, SNC elder Jacob Ahwinona, Amber Bradley and Jessica Mute.

With the help of local organizations, four students began classes January 2011 and are scheduled to complete the two-year associate degree program to become registered nurses in December 2012. Once the students have completed their program, they will be hired locally at Norton Sound Health Corporation. Sitnasuak is proud to support the nursing program with a $16,000 donation, presented by elder Jacob Ahwinona on May 17th.

Sitnasuak Donates $100,000 to Nome-Beltz JROTC Program
Jacob Ahwinona presented the donation to Nanook Battalion Commander Kyle Griemsmann (descendant) and the NBHS Cadets on May 18th

On May 2, 2011, Sitnasuak Chairperson Crystal M. Andersen-Booth presented a $100,000 donation to School Board President Gloria A. Karmun at the Nome Board of Education meeting.  The donation will fund the JROTC program for the 2011-2012 school year.
