Sitnasuak Native Corporation is seeking shareholders interested in serving in the capacity of advisory members of the following Sitnasuak Native Corporation committees:

• Land Committee - acts on Land Use and Special Use Permit applications.  They also determine other uses of Sitnasuak land.  The members recognize both traditional and economic development uses of land.
• Elders Committee – represents elder shareholders, selects elder of the year, oversees production SNC calendar and other cultural materials. We are looking for one or two high school juniors or seniors for the Elders Committee, also.
• Foundation Committee – awards higher education scholarships to new and continuing students as well as vocational scholarships for specialized short-term training programs.
• Subsistence Committee – newly-established committee to convene and advocate on behalf of shareholders’ subsistence priorities.

Committee meeting schedules vary but most committees meet at least quarterly. Interested shareholders, please submit a letter of interest  including a brief introduction, overview of qualifications or key points of consideration for committees, and a resume/ any additional information you wish to include.
