The Sitnasuak Native Corporation Land Department has a current staff of two:

Staff enforces current Land Use Policy, related directly to corporate ownership of 240,000 acres of surface estate. Generally, this land covers our local road system: to Mile 20 Nome-Council Road, to Mile 20 Nome-Kougarok Road, to Mile 20 Glacier Creek Road, and to Mile 28 Nome-Teller Road.
Surface access to this land is managed by requiring applicants to fill out an application for their specific activity, and requires additional local, state and federal laws to be followed. This means that the applicant will be required to submit additional documentation, stating that their activity will not adversely affect our gathering, hunting or fishing activities that shareholders rely on.
